Over the years, our skin suffers not only from the aging process, but also damage in the form of ultra-violet rays from the sun and exposure to environmental toxins. Skin care is therefore aimed at PREVENTION of further damage/aging, RESTORATION of a healthier structure and MAINTENANCE of skin health. If you choose to have no other aesthetic treatment, good skin care is the bare necessity. If you are investing in other treatments such as LASER or cosmetic surgery, good skin care is essential to maintaining the longevity of the outcome - ‘protecting your investment’.

We offer our patients the services of a board-certified, NYS licensed medical aesthetician to guide them through an effective and personalized skin care program. Patients start with a thorough skin analysis and recommendations for a manageable yet highly effective home care regimen. In-office treatments such as chemical peels or medical-grade facials may be also be suggested. Seeing our aesthetician before and after you LASER of cosmetic surgery treatments can enhance and even prolong your results.

SkinMedica® Prescription Products:

EpiQuin® Micro
This is a prescription-only bleaching cream that contains a combination of hydroquinone, retinol and Vitamin C and E to lighten areas of hyperpigmentation. The microsponge® technology makes it non-irritating and well tolerated in most patients without the need for steroids in the formulation. It may be used indefinitely, unlike steroid-containing products.

NIA 24 Skin Care Products

The Nia24 line of skincare products contains the powerful ingredient Pro-Niacin™ which repairs the damage in aging and sun-damaged skin from the inside out. These products also prevent and fight the signs of aging, such as wrinkles, age spots and loss of tone and elasticity. Nia24 products have also been shown to work synergistically with RetinA for even more dramatic results. Nia 24 is also a skin strengthener, allowing the skin to heal more quickly, making it a great companion to laser or more invasive skin care treatments. Regular use of Nia 24 will result in a reduction of hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, and an improvement in skin tone, texture and firmness. Vivité Skin Care Products

One of our newest product lines, Vivité is an advanced skincare line developed by Allergan, the makers of Botox® Cosmetic and Juvéderm™. Vivité is a unique skincare system that uses glycolic acid in combination with antioxidants to rejuvenate aging, sun damaged skin. The Vivité line also contains exclusive GLX Technology, which acts as a catalyst to deliver these two key ingredients deep into the skin and stimulates the skin's natural production of hyaluronic acid, collagen and epidermal growth factors. Vivité products are appropriate for all skin types with mild to moderate photo-damaged skin. Regular use of Vivité products will reduce fine lines and wrinkles, increase moisture content, and improve the skin's texture and clarity.

SKIN CARE TREATMENTS

Signature Calming Facial

A very relaxing facial suited for all skin types.  It is also an excellent treatment to calm post procedure skin, gently ridding your skin of impurities while hydrating and calming inflammation.

This treatment is suited for all skin types yet offers targeted treatment for fine lines, acne breakouts and dryness.  High levels of vitamins A, C, E and growth factors are used to feed the skin's upper layers generating healthy cell development.

Hydrating Facial

A luxurious hydrating facial for dry, dehydrated or sun-damaged skin.  A lactic acid mask adds moisture as it gently exfoliates.  Vitamins A and C are infused into the skin to improve texture and reduce irritation.

TCA Facial Peel

Gentle for all skin types, indicated to treat fine lines, acne, dryness and sun damaged skin.  Best results are achieved when done in a series of 6 treatments. 

The Vivite Glycolic Peel is an advanced formulation with GLX Technology designed to improve overall skin clarity and increase moisture content.  Also helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.  For optimal results we suggest that patients pre- treat their skin with the Vivite skin care products prior to the peel.  A series of Vivite Glycolic Peels will gently exfoliate the surface of the skin while regenerating healthy new skin cells, therefore resulting in a more even toned and brighter complexion.

SkinMedica Illuminize Peel

The SkinMedica Illuminize Peel is SkinMedica's gentlest peel.  It is very well tolerated with no 'downtime'. This peel lightly exfoliates the surface of the skin while improving skin color, clarity and texture.  The Illuminize peel is a great treatment to have done before a special event, resulting in a brighter, more hydrated complexion.  This is also a great treatment for patients who have never had a peel before.

SkinMedica Vitalize Peel

The Vitalize Peel is a unique formulation of mild acids that provides a highly effective, yet gentle treatment that is appropriate for all skin types with little or no 'downtime'. Mature skin, acne-prone skin and even hyperpigmentation can be effectively treated. After just one peel, you will notice an improvement in your skin's texture and tone, and a healthier appearance. A series of 6 treatments done 3 weeks apart can result in significant reduction of fine lines, sun spots/pigmentation and/or superficial acne scarring.

EYELASH EXTENSIONS (NovaLash)

Individual eyelash bonding (Novalash) is an exciting new procedure offered by our medical aesthetician. This is a great procedure for a wedding day, honeymoon, or any special event, or for someone who just doesn't want the hassle of applying and taking off mascara everyday!

• NovaLash extensions are safe. Each eyelash extension is bonded to your own individual eyelash with a USA pharmaceutical- grade adhesive (beware that other companies use foreign-made adhesives that are not subject to the same rigorous testing).
• They look and feel very natural and length, thickness and even color can be customized for you.
• The extensions are semi-permanent and will last about 4 weeks.
  After 4 weeks the extensions will shed as your own eyelashes naturally shed. To keep a full set of lash extensions, touch-ups are required every 4-5 weeks.
