An example of the power off a fat transfer for under eye hollows and dark circles. This beautiful patient is shown about a year after I performed this procedure in the office under local anesthesia. The volume looks natural, lasts for years and the improvement in skin quality is undeniable.

Doctor's Comments:

This patient had a previous history of eyelid surgery and browlifts starting in her 30's done elsewhere.  She had at least 3 revisions done before coming to our practice, after too much skin and fat had been removed. She disliked the hollows under her eyes and the sad/ tired look, as well as general aging around her jawline and neck. She wanted a natural look. Her post-surgical results show a refreshed, more rested appearance, especially with the added volume in her midface, tear troughs and lateral orbital rims. The temporal lift and canthoplasty helped in restoring her eye shape, which was so altered by previous surgeries. *

This patient had an unusual single left medial orbital fat pad protrusion as well as dark circles and hollows under both eyes. The fat pad was removed trans-conjunctival, meaning behind the eyelid, with no external scar. But the more dramatic change is from the micro-fat grafting (transfer) that I placed under her eyes, along the orbital rims and feathering across her upper cheekbones. She looks more rested and cheerful and completely smooth. Even her skin quality is improved - possibly an added benefit of the stem cells found in fat. *
