Breast Implant Removal (Explant) Gallery

Explanation surgery is part of the natural cycle of breast augmentation with implants. At some point, breast implants usually need to removed and replaced.

This fit patient had her implants for over 20 years but developed severe capsular contracture over time. She was uncomfortable with the hardness and distortion but didn’t want implants again.

I replaced her implants with autologous fat transfer. It was a challenge because of her very low body fat so I had to use numerous donor sites, including her knees, arms, hips, inner thighs and abdomen. But her soft, natural looking result was worth it!
