Just completed a setback otoplasty for my lovely young patient! This is one of the most common ear surgeries I perform, designed to set prominent ears back closer to the head.
It’s incredible how this procedure can make such a positive impact, especially for children and teens who may face teasing or bullying due to their ears. Since our ears are almost fully grown by age five or six, it’s reasonable to consider this procedure for those who need it.
In my practice, the typical patient is an adult man or woman, however, who just never got around to fixing their prominent ears that still bother them. It’s a high satisfaction procedure for all ages.
