Welcome to the realm of timeless beauty, where confidence meets rejuvenation. Radiesse, a revolutionary dermal filler, goes beyond traditional aesthetics, offering not just immediate volume enhancement but also long-lasting bio-stimulating effects that harness your body’s ability to grow new collagen.
Radiesse stands out among temporary dermal fillers due to its unique composition. Crafted with calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a smooth gel carrier, Radiesse not only provides instant volume when injected as a filler, but also triggers a natural collagen-building process especially when used as a biostimulator in its dilute form. This makes it more than just a cosmetic filler; it’s a bio-stimulating powerhouse that improves skin quality in both the face and body.
The magic lies in Radiesse’s ability to stimulate collagen production. As the microspheres integrate seamlessly with your skin tissues, they encourage the body to generate its own collagen. This collagen boost results in improved skin elasticity, enhanced texture, and a gradual reduction in wrinkles or skin thickening over time.
While Radiesse can be used as a filler for immediate volume enhancement in areas like the cheeks and jawline, it can also be used to improve skin quality and decrease crepiness all over the body, including the decollete, back of the hands, upper arms, thighs, knees, and buttocks! Now confirmed in numerous clinical studies, Radiesse stimulates new collagen and elastin production, and new cell growth in the dermal layer of the skin, which accounts for these visible improvements!

Depending on your beauty goals and the areas of your face or body that you want to treat, Radiesse may be recommended as an excellent option for you. It is an injection treatment done as a quick office procedure, using numbing cream on the skin. The treatment is well tolerated by most patients. We use needles or cannulas depending on the treatment site. Radiesse comes pre-mixed with some local anesthetic, Lidocaine, which makes the injections more comfortable.
Radiesse is used in its original formulation or diluted with additional local anesthetic and saline, depending on whether you need immediate volume and contour, or are looking for skin quality improvement without added volume in areas like the decollete, arms, thighs, etc.
You can expect some swelling and bruising at the treatment site and icing is helpful in the first day or two after treatment. Most patients go back to regular activities the day after treatment.
Benefits can include the following.
Undiluted Radiesse provides correction in facial area where there is loss of volume or need for contour such as the cheeks or deeper wrinkles, reversing the signs of aging and deflation.
Radiesse integrates seamlessly with your skin, ensuring a natural look and a soft, supple feel.
As your body responds to the microspheres, the collagen-building process unfolds gradually, unveiling a more youthful and refreshed appearance in the face, and firmer, smoother skin in both face and body areas.
Enjoy the effects of Radiesse for an extended period, with results lasting up to 12 to 18 months, and sometimes longer in skin quality improvement. The CaHA microspheres break down gradually into Calcium and Phosphate, which are naturally eliminated from the body through the kidneys.
Radiesse treatments carry some risks, similar to those of other fillers. Swelling, bruising, soreness, redness and itching are common temporary side effects. Antihistamine such as Benadryl may be helpful in the first day or two. Nodules, infection and more serious complications such as vascular injury resulting in skin wounding or damage to vision are possible, though rare. Most importantly when trying to limit risks, work with a trained, licensed medical professional when considering any filler treatment.
