Before Your Procedure
Preparing for your DiamondGlow treatment at Capek Plastic Surgery and MedSpa is simple and stress-free. Just make sure to communicate closely with your Aesthetician! If you are currently using prescription skincare products or undergoing other treatments, it’s essential to let your provider know beforehand so they can advise you.
We will tailor a treatment plan during your consultation to address your specific skin goals. DiamondGlow’s is fully customizable and allows us to select the appropriate diamond tip for exfoliation of your skin, and the most effective serum infusion to target your skin’s needs.
Your Procedure
The DiamondGlow treatment typically takes about 1 hour, and we recommend arriving with a clean face free of makeup and heavy moisturizers. During the procedure, a diamond-tip wand gently glides across your skin, exfoliating the surface and extracting impurities. Simultaneously, the wand delivers one of the advanced SkinMedica serums deep into your skin, nourishing and hydrating from within.
Though you may feel a slight tingling sensation as the device works to clear away dead skin cells and infuse the skin with the selected serum, the process is generally comfortable and relaxing. Your DiamondGlow facial will also include an LED light treatment and a custom SkinMedica® post-treatment mask. The result is immediate—skin feels smoother, cleaner, and hydrated right after the session. For additional chemical exfoliation and enhanced brightening, you can also add a SkinMedica Illuminize peel to your treatment the same day!
After Your Procedure
After DiamondGlow treatment, your skin may appear slightly flushed or pink for a few hours, but this should subside quickly. To prevent irritation, you should also avoid sun exposure and aggressive at-home exfoliation for a few days after your session.
To maintain and enhance your results, we recommend following a personalized skincare routine, which may include serums and moisturizers. Your aesthetician will provide aftercare instructions tailored to your skin type, ensuring that you continue to experience radiant, glowing skin long after your appointment.
What Are the Risks?
DiamondGlow is considered a safe and effective treatment for most individuals, but as with any skincare procedure, there are minimal risks to consider. Temporary redness, mild irritation, or dryness can occur in some patients, but these side effects typically resolve within a few hours.
