SmartLipo™ Triplex differs from traditional liposuction in many ways. The traditional technique is usually done under general anesthesia, while SmartLipo™ can be done under local anesthesia. Also, with traditional liposuction, loose skin will remain where the fat is suctioned out, where with SmartLipo™, collagen is stimulated, tightening the area. Lastly, SmartLipo™ is less painful than traditional liposuction, and requires less downtime, with less bruising and swelling.
It is important to understand that this treatment is ideal for those with small fat deposits. Liposuction is not a solution for weight loss, and should not be used as such.
