My lovely patient was experiencing discomfort from capsular contracture and a ruptured silicone breast implant on the right side. She came to me asking to have her implants replaced with her own fat, but declined a breast lift.
I performed explant surgery, removing both implants, capsulectomies and injected her own fat to restore volume. This patient is very fit and did not have much fat to work with, but I was able to get enough to leave her with a natural-looking result. A breast lift could certainly be added here for additional shaping, but has the trade off of visible scars. It’s always a dialogue between me and my patient to come up with a treatment plan the we are both comfortable with 👍
