My beautiful patient came to me requesting a revision of her breast augmentation. She knew she had a ruptured silicone implant on the right and a bulge near her armpit that increases each time she flexed her pec muscle. Her breasts were also hard and uncomfortable from capsular contracture. These implants were placed over 20 years ago through axillary incisions.
During surgery, I discovered a large pocket of leaking silicone in the right armpit, stuck under her pectoralis muscle. Removing it required reopening the axillary scar. A very unusual finding in implant revision surgery!
I removed both of her implants and capsules, and replaced them with Natrelle #inspira soft-touch #gummy implants to give her this natural look. She is beyond happy with her results and is much more comfortable!
