This patient sought a solution for persistent dark circles under his eyes, a concern that stemmed from a combination of bulging fat pads and hollowing at the orbital rim (the edge of the eye socket). Interestingly, this condition wasn’t a result of aging but rather a genetic predisposition, sometimes seen even in children within the same family. To address his concerns and achieve a more refreshed appearance, I performed a scarless reduction of the fat pads through a transconjunctival blepharoplasty, which involves accessing the area through the inside of the lower eyelid, leaving no visible external scars. This was complemented by a micro fat transfer to the hollow under-eye area, carefully filling in the depressions to create a smoother, more youthful contour. The results have been transformative – the patient is thrilled with his rejuvenated appearance, noting that he now consistently looks well-rested.
