My patient was unhappy with the shape of her ears. She never developed the normal cartilage contour, called the antehelical fold, and this made her ears look more prominent than she liked. I performed an ear setback, re-contouring her cartilage and rotating her ears back. I perform this procedure under local anesthesia in our office surgical suite in most patient through a hidden incision behind the ears. She loves the results and this change gave her an instant confidence boost!
